Post 3 November 2006 Activity Report

((BOWLING GREEN, KY) - The Post Commander, Captain Bill Payton of the Kentucky State Police, Post 3 is reporting the following activity for the month of November 2006.

Troopers and Detectives issued a total of 2,194 citations of which 886 were for speeding and 8 for no child restraint. Troopers issued 89 warnings for no seatbelts. Thirty-four people were arrested for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Troopers issued 597 courtesy notices investigated 147 accidents, of which 3 were fatals, and assisted 290 motorist, while inspecting 2,477 vehicles. The Bowling Green Post reported NO FATAL accidents during the Thanksgiving Holiday period.

Detectives and Troopers investigated 1,439 complaints, and opened 70 criminal cases, and made 388 criminal arrests.

Troopers also worked 852 special details and programs for November.
