Drug Arrest in Warren County

(BOWLING GREEN, KY) - On September 11, 2006 at approximately 1200 hrs Detective Vincent Schmitt with Kentucky State Police DESI West was at the Rite Aide Pharmacy in Bowling Green, KY when he observed a white female who appeared to be under the influence of drugs. Schmitt began to conduct surveillance and soon after noticed a white male subject exit the pharmacy and get into the same vehicle as the female. Two other subjects were also in the vehicle. Schmitt contacted Detective Jacky Hunt and the Warren County Drug Task Force for assistance. Through surveillance, Detectives observed subjects from the same vehicle subsequently enter Walgreen's, CVS and Kroger pharmacies. Kentucky State Police Post 3 units conducted a traffic stop based on probable cause. After a searching the vehicle was officers discovered over 22 grams of pseudoephedrine. Gary Shepard, Linda Shepard, James Hoff and Shannon Sweetsir were arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a meth precursor. Linda Shepard was also charged with possession of a controlled substance - methamphetamine. All subjects were lodged in the Warren County Jail. Also assisting was the Warren County Sheriff's Department.
