One of Kentucky's 10 Most Wanted, Apprehended in Alabama

(BOWLING GREEN, Ky.) - In a joint effort with the United States Marshall's Fugitive Task Force, Detective Jeremy Mabe with Kentucky State Police have located and apprehended one of Kentucky's 10 Most Wanted individuals, on 06-30-2006.
Lead Investigator Detective Forrest Winchester was notified of Hanley's apprehension, without incident in Centre, Alabama early this morning. Hanley was placed on Kentucky's 10 Most Wanted List for two counts of Knowingly Abusing an Adult, and one count of Knowingly Exploiting an Adult. Hanley was indicted by a Logan County Grand Jury in February 2006. Hanley fled Kentucky before he could be arrested on the indictment warrants.
Hanley allegedly drained the bank accounts of his two aunts that were in his care, of more than $350,000.00. Hanley is also a person of interest in the investigation of death of his aunt while she was in his care. Essie Hanley's body has been exhumed for an autopsy, and the results are confidential at this time.
While Troopers and Marshall's were apprehending Guy Hanley, his father Lannie Hanley Sr. 82 who was reported as a Missing Person from Kentucky since May 2006 was located with his son. Lannie Hanley Sr. will be returned to Kentucky with no pending charges. Guy Hanley was lodged in the Cherokee County Correctional Facility awaiting extradition proceedings.
