2006 Traffic Safety Programs
Date of News Release: 05/03/2006
(BOWLING GREEN, Ky.) -- The Kentucky State Police along with other state, county and local law enforcement agencies will be out in force in an attempt to reduce non-injury, injury and fatal accidents this Spring and Summer driving season.
In April 2006 our Post District recorded 14 fatalities. This is a significant increase from previous months. The Commander of Post 3, Captain Bill Payton stated that the increase is "alarming." "We will focus our resources on problem areas so that we might reduce, if not eliminate, the types of tragic collisions that occurred in the month of April."
The Kentucky State Police Post 3 will be involved in the upcoming traffic safety programs this spring and summer.
