Drug Arrest in Bowling Green, KY

(BOWLING GREEN, KY) - On 03/16/06, while on routine patrol on KY 231 south of Bowling Green, KSP units observed a Chevrolet pickup truck weaving on the roadway. Upon stopping the vehicle, units discoved Dennyson Warfield was driving on suspened license and acting extremely nervous. Warfield was arrested and K-9 units were contacted to check his vehicle. The Kentucky State Police and the South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force K-9 units were utilized and received a positive hit on the vehicle but no drugs were found inside. Warfield was then transported to the Warren County jail where 8 ounces of crack cocaine with an approximate street value of $10,000 was located upon Warfield's person. Warfield refused to be searched at the jail and a subsequent assault on a Deputy Jailer resulted. Warfield was charged with Trafficking In Controlled Substance cocaine, Driving on Suspended License, Assault of a Police Officer and Introducing Contraband. Cases will be reviewed by Commonwealth's Attorney for possible referral to U.S. Attorney's office.
