December 2005 Activity Report

(BOWLING GREEN, KY) - The Post Commander, Captain Bill Payton of the Kentucky State Police, Post 3 is reporting the following activity for the month of December 2005.
Troopers and Detectives issued a total of 1,508 citations of which 537 were for speeding, 100 for no seatbelts, and 5 for no child restraint. Forty-one people were arrested for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Troopers issued 542 courtesy notices investigated 83 accidents, of which 7 were fatalities (None of which were wearing seatbelts) and assisted 225 motorists, while inspecting 2,387 vehicles.
Detectives and Troopers investigated 1,106 complaints, and opened 80 criminal cases, and made 264 criminal arrests, and investigated 4 non-criminal cases.
Troopers also worked 734 special details and programs for December.
