Drug Arrest in Elkton, KY
Date of News Release: 12/15/2006
Elkton, KY (Todd County) - On Thursday, December 14, 2006 at approximately 7:22 p.m., Tpr. Ben Sawyer and Tpr. Mike Manzanares were assisting the Todd County Sheriff's Department serve an arrest warrant at 880 Stringtown Road. After arriving at the residence, officers noticed drug paraphernalia on a table. After identifying themselves as police officers, a female in the residence grabbed the drug paraphernalia and ran to the back of the home. A male subject came to the door where he was arrested for the arrest warrant. The female stated that the drug paraphernalia was in the bedroom closet. Upon the officers initial walk through to retrieve the drug paraphernalia, the officers discovered an indoor grow. There were a total of 9 marijuana plants growing inside the residence. Various items of drug paraphernalia and firearms were also located inside the residence. Arrested were the following:
