Felony Arrest in Hopkins County

Date of News Release: 12/13/2006

Madisonville, KY. - On December 9, 2006, at approximately 2146 hours, the Kentucky State Police was notified of a domestic dispute between mother and daughter at 28 Hermitage Drive in Nortonville, KY. Iva Senay and Tamika Jones were involved in a verbal argument that escalated into a physical altercation. Both subjects admitted to assaulting the other one. Mrs. Senay was arrested for Assault, 4th Degree Domestic Violence and transported to the Hopkins County Detention Center where she was processed and lodged. While Mrs. Jones was being placed under arrest she reached into her front right pocket and pulled out her cell phone along with an unknown substance that she immediately placed into her mouth and swallowed. She then failed to cooperate with police, ignored verbal commands and pulled away from police as she was being escorted outside. Mrs. Jones would not advise the substance that she put into her mouth. She was taken to Regional Medical Center where she was treated and released. Mrs. Jones was then taken to the Hopkins County Detention Center where she was processed and lodged.
