Fatal Crash on KY 91 in Caldwell County

Date of News Release: 12/12/2006

Princeton, KY (Caldwell County) - David I. Scott age 54 of Hopkinsville, KY was operating a 2000 Ford F-150 pickup truck northbound on KY 91 (Princeton-Hopkinsville Road) approximately 6.7 miles south of Princeton when for an unknown reason, the vehicle exited off the right side of the roadway and struck an embankment. The vehicle overturned several times ejecting Mr. Scott. The vehicle came to rest off the right side of the roadway overturned on its top. The Caldwell County Coroner's Office pronounced Mr. Scott dead at the scene. Mr. Scott was not wearing a seatbelt. The crash remains under investigation by the Kentucky State Police. Mr. Scott was a Princeton Police Officer who was off-duty at the time of the crash. Reconstructionist Tpr. Mike Ray is investigating the crash. Tpr. Camileo Threatt, the Caldwell County Sheriff's Department, Princeton Police Department, Princeton Fire Department, Caldwell County EMS & the Caldwell County Coroner's Office assisted at the scene.
