Injury Crash Involving Pedestrian in South Carrollton, KY

Date of News Release: 12/06/2006

South Carrollton, KY (Muhlenberg County) - John M. Pendley age 46 of Greenville, KY was operating a vehicle southbound on US 431 approximately 3 miles north of South Carrollton when Carl Ile age 27 of Livermore, KY entered the travel portion of the roadway on foot. The front driver's side of Pendley's vehicle struck Mr. Ile. Mr. Ile was thrown into the northbound travel portion of the roadway. Mr. Ile was transported by ambulance to Owensboro Mercy Hospital with a possible hip injury. Through the course of Tpr. Lloyd Ray's investigation, it was determined that Mr. Ile had been consuming alcohol prior to the crash. Tpr. Lloyd Ray investigated the crash that occurred on December 5, 2006 at 6:15 p.m. The Central City Fire Department and Muhlenberg County EMS assisted at the scene.
