Injury Crash on US41 in Hopkins County

(Hopkins County) - Mrs. Kristen Hensley was operating a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix southbound on US41 half of a mile north of Slaughters. As she approached the intersection of US41 and KY138 a 2003 Chevy Van driven by Mr. Wandell Enochs was traveling eastbound on KY138. Mr. Enochs disregarded the stop sign at the intersection and continued to travel in an easterly direction. Due to this action, Mr. Enochs crossed into the path of Mrs. Hensley causing the two vehicles to collide. Mr. Enochs was ejected from the vehicle when it rolled onto its driver's side, pinning him underneath. He was extricated by non-mechanical means and was air lifted to Deaconess in Evansville, IN with possible chest, shoulder, and neck injuries. Mrs. Hensley was transported to Regional Medical Center in Madisonville with possible leg and abdominal injuries.
