Injury Crash on Eastbound Western Kentucky Parkway in Hopkins County

Hopkins County - Ronald Marabito age 74 of Richardson, TX was operating a 1992 Bluebird Wonderlodge RV eastbound on the Western Kentucky Parkway. Mr. Marabito was slowing in traffic due to another crash. Amanda Newman age 26 of Central City, KY was operating a 1993 Chevrolet S10 eastbound on the Western Kentucky Parkway traveling behind the RV. Ms. Newman was unable to stop her vehicle in time and rear-ended the RV. Amanda Newman was transported by ambulance to the Regional Medical Center for treatment. Mr. Marabito and his wife, Shirley Marabito age 66, were not injured. All subjects were wearing seatbelts. Tpr. Billy Sumner investigated the crash that occurred on October 5, 2006 at 11:55 a.m. Tpr. Nathan Knight, Nortonville Rescue Squad and Medical Center Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.
