Injury Crash on US 431 in Drakesboro, KY
Date of News Release: 09/25/2006
Drakesboro, KY (Muhlenberg County) - Paul E. Bray II age 21 of Owensboro, KY was operating a 1992 Chevrolet Blazer southbound on US 431. He was attempting to make a right turn into the Quality Plus Gas Station. Danny Thorne II age 34 of Central City, KY was operating a 1981 Suzuki motorcycle southbound on US 431 behind Mr. Bray's vehicle. Thorne could not stop in time and his motorcycle rear-ended the Blazer. Danny Throne II and his wife, Kelly Thorne age 22 of Central City, KY, were transported by ambulance to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment. Both were wearing helmets. Mr. Bray II and his passengers, Silver Smith age 18, Stephen Raines age 22 and Jasamine Hutchinson age 5 all of Owensboro, KY, were not injured. All subjects in the Blazer were wearing restraints. Tpr. Nathan Knight investigated the crash that occurred on September 24, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. The Drakesboro Volunteer Fire Department and Muhlenberg County EMS assisted at the scene.
