Fatal Crash on Edward Breathitt Parkway in Hopkins County

(Hopkins County) - Juanita Curneal was northbound on the Edward Breathitt Parkway operating a 2000 Chevy Silverado. Her vehicle hydroplaned causing it to exit the roadway and strike a guardrail. Ms. Curneal was ejected from the driver's side of the vehicle. Ms. Curneal was wearing her seatbelt but the impact of the accident caused the anchor to be pulled away from the vehicle. Hopkins County Coroner pronounced Ms. Curneal dead at the scene.
