Injury Crash on Chapel Hill Road in Marion County

Date of News Release: 09/21/2006

Marion, KY (Crittenden County) - Rebecca Wright age 16 of Marion, KY was operating a 2002 Toyota Camry southbound on Chapel Hill Road when she failed to negotiate a curve and crossed into the northbound lane. She overcorrected and crossed back into the southbound lane. The vehicle exited off the right shoulder of the roadway and struck an embankment. The vehicle overturned and came to rest in the roadway on its top. Rebecca Wright and her two passengers, Jessica Belt age 16 of Marion, KY and Hillary Wright age 14 of Marion, KY, all sustained multiple injuries. Rebecca Wright was transported to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. Jessica Belt and Hillary Wright were transported by ambulance to the Crittenden County Hospital. All were wearing seatbelts. Tpr. Chris King investigated the crash that occurred on September 20, 2006 at 5:04 p.m. The Marion Police Department and Crittenden County EMS assisted at the scene.
