Assault 3rd Degree Arrest in Hopkins County
Date of News Release: 08/31/2006
(Hopkins County) - Officers responded to an address on New Arnold Street in Earlington reference a possible domestic. Kyaron Davis had walked from her apartment to another address to use the telephone. Mrs. Davis advised that her husband had asked her to leave their residence, which she did. She advised officers that she wanted to be taken to a shelter and was advised that this call did not meet the requirements for a domestic. The officers advised her that they would take her to a family member or friend's residence. Mrs. Davis became agitated and began to curse and yell at the officers. The officers requested numerous times for her to lower her voice and stop using profanity. She continued to curse at the officers. Chief Patterson placed her under arrest for disorderly conduct. Mrs. Davis resisted the officers when they attempted to arrest her. During a brief struggle, Mrs. Davis kicked Tpr. Kavanaugh in his right thigh with her foot. Tpr. Kavanaugh was not injured. Mrs. Davis was lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center.
