Criminal Investigation and Arrest in Hopkins County

(Hopkins County, KY ) - Ms. Amanda Benton contacted Post 2 to advise that she had been assaulted and robbed. Upon contact with Ms. Benton she advised that Mr. Christopher Gary and Mr. Mark Stewart had held her down while the juvenile proceeded to assault her. Ms. Benton advised that $20.00, and a pack of cigarettes that fell from her purse were taken after the assault. Mr. Gary and Mr. Stewart were lodged in the Hopkins County Jail charged with Robbery 1st Degree. The juvenile was transported to Madisonville Police Department to meet with Court Designated Worker and a parent. At the request of the CDW the juvenile was charged with Assault 4th Degree - Minor Injury, and released to her mother.
