Murder Investigation and Arrest in Dycusburg, KY

(Dycusburg, KY ) - On 8-13-2006 the Kentucky State Police Madisonville received a call from the Princeton Police Department in reference to an assault victim at the Caldwell County Hospital Emergency Room. Det. Steve Silfies responded and determined that the assault occurred in Dycusburg, KY on Friday night 8-11-2006. The victim, Carter Peek, DOB/19561031 of Dycusburg was transported to Saint Thomas Hospital by ambulance due to his injuries. Mr. Peek succumbed to his injuries on 8-16-2006 at 1710 hrs.

As a result of the investigation, an arrest warrant was obtained for Mark A Riddle, DOB/19690831, of Dycusburg, KY for murder. Detective Silfies, with the assistance of Sergeant Stacey Blackburn and Trooper Matt Foster, served the warrant on Mark A Riddle this date, 2006-08-18. He was lodged in the Crittenden County Jail.
