Injury Crash on Curtis Mine Road in Earlington, KY

Date of News Release: 08/11/2006

Earlington, KY (Hopkins County) - Jody E. Galloway age 19 of Madisonville, KY was operating a 1995 Ford Mustang. She was traveling on Curtis Mine Road approaching the intersection of KY 2171. Damon R. Bond age 43 of Earlington, KY was operating a 2003 Ford F150 northbound on KY 2171 approaching the intersection as well. Galloway did not see Bond's vehicle approaching and pulled out into the intersection. The two vehicles collided. Bond's vehicle exited off the right side of the roadway and came to rest in a grassy area. Galloway's vehicle spun and came to rest facing northbound in the center of the roadway. Galloway, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was not injured. Bond, who was wearing a seatbelt, was transported to the Regional Medical Center for treatment. Tpr. Brandon McPherson investigated the crash that occurred on August 11, 2006 at 5:52 a.m. The Hopkins County Sheriff's Department, Grapevine Volunteer Fire Department and Medical Center Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.
