Marijuana Eradication in Madisonville

Madisonville, KY - From Monday, July 17 to Wednesday, July 19, 2006, troopers from the Kentucky State Police Post 2 in Madisonville along with support from the KSP Aircraft Section eradicated a total of 1,473 marijuana plants in Caldwell, Hopkins and Muhlenberg Counties. Of these, 74 plants were located off of Rufus Road in Caldwell County. 536 plants were located near Morton's Gap in Hopkins County and 863 plants were located near Graham in Muhlenberg County. The marijuana plants were transported to Post 2 where they were destroyed. The estimated value of the destroyed plants is $2,946,000. At the present time, no arrests have been made. The investigation is continuing by the Kentucky State Police.
