Shooting Investigation in Muhlenberg County

(Muhlenberg County) - At 22:12 Central City Fire and Rescue, Muhlenberg County EMS, and the Muhlenberg Sheriff's Office responded to a call of a shooting on Beech Street in Cleaton, KY at the home of Mrs. Linda Jeffers. At 22:21 the Kentucky State Police was requested to investigate the shooting resulting from a domestic disturbance. Both parties were transported by ambulance to Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Mrs. Jeffers was transported for experiencing chest pain. Mr. Jeffers was transferred to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, TN with a single gunshot wound. At this time no arrests have been made, the incident is still under investigation by the Kentucky State Police. The Muhlenberg Sheriff's Office, Muhlenberg County EMS, Central City Fire Department as well as the Central City Police Department responded to the scene.
