Injury Crash on US 60 in Marion, KY
Date of News Release: 07/18/2006
Marion, KY (Crittenden County) - Chad W. Copeland age 19 of Marion, KY was operating a 1992 Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck westbound on US 60 approximately 8 ½ miles west of Marion when he apparently fell asleep. The vehicle exited off the right side of the roadway and struck a culvert. The vehicle became airborne and overturned several times. Mr. Copeland was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. The vehicle came to rest upright in a driveway. Mr. Copeland was transported by ambulance to the Crittenden County Hospital for treatment of multiple injuries. Tpr. Darron Holliman investigated the crash that occurred on July 18, 2006 at 6:30 a.m. Crittenden County EMS and the Salem Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.
