Cultivating Marijuana Arrest in Hopkins County

Madisonville, KY (Hopkins County) - On Monday, July 17, 2006 at approximately 11:23 a.m., troopers arrived at a residence on Magnolia Avenue in Madisonville. The troopers were responding to an anonymous tip that marijuana was growing behind a trailer located there. Troopers made contact with the owner of the trailer, Blake D. Crawford age 22 of Madisonville, KY, and obtained consent to search. Drug paraphernalia was located inside the trailer and two (2) marijuana plants were located by a tree behind the trailer. Crawford was arrested without incident and charged with Cultivating Marijuana Less Than 5 Plants 1st Offense (A Misdemeanor), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Offense (D Felony) and Execution of Warrant for other Police Agency. He was lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center.
