Injury Crash Involving Motorcycle in Caldwell County

(Caldwell County) - James V. Brown was operating a 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle southbound on Ky 139 when a deer entered his path of travel. Mr. Brown struck the deer causing the motorcycle to overturn. The motorcycle slid approximately 234 feet. Mr. Brown was thrown from the motorcycle. Mr. Brown was transported by PHI Air Medical to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville for treatment of his injuries. The Kentucky State Police were assisted at the scene by the Caldwell Co Sheriff's Office, Caldwell Co EMS, Farmersville Fire Dept., Princeton Fire Dept., PHI Air Medical. Mr. Brown was not wearing a helmet. The accident remains under investigation.
