Injury Crash on US 431 Near Moorman, KY

Date of News Release: 07/04/2006

Moorman, KY (Muhlenberg County) - Tatiana R. Casey age 19 of Central City, KY was operating a 1998 Ford Contour northbound on US 431 south of Moorman. Lindsey B. Sparks age 22 of Greenville, KY was operating a 1995 Ford Mustang southbound on US 431. For an unknown reason, Casey's vehicle crossed into the southbound lane and struck Spark's vehicle. Casey's vehicle exited off the northbound side of the roadway and traveled down an embankment overturning several times. The vehicle came to rest on its top. Spark's vehicle exited off the southbound side of the roadway and traveled into a ditch where it came to rest. Tatiana Casey was transported by Air Evac to Vanderbilt Medical Center for treatment. Casey was not wearing a seatbelt. Lindsey Sparks was transported by ambulance to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment. Sparks was wearing a seatbelt. Tpr. Nathan Knight investigated the crash that occurred on July 4, 2006 at 9:00 a.m. Tpr. Jerrod Hearld, the Central City Fire Department, Muhlenberg County EMS and Air Evac assisted at the scene.
