Injury Crash on US 41 A in Nebo, KY

Nebo, KY (Hopkins County) - Michael S. Walker age 27 of Madisonville, KY was operating a 1986 GMC Fire Truck for the Manitou Volunteer Fire Department southbound on US 41 A. He was clearing the scene of a previous crash. The right rear tire of the fire truck dropped off the shoulder of the roadway. Walker overcorrected and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle slid into a ditch where it came to rest. Walker was transported by ambulance to the Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries. He was wearing a seatbelt. Tpr. Michael Dennis investigated the crash that occurred on June 26, 2006 at 2:40 p.m. Nebo Fire & Rescue and Medical Center Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.
