Injury Crash on US 68 in Christian County, KY

Date of News Release: 06/26/2006

Hopkinsville, KY (Christian County) - John Broadbent age 54 of Hopkinsville, KY was operating a 1996 Ford Ranger. He was attempting to make a left turn from the by-pass onto US 68. Logan Pace age 33 of Dawson Springs, KY was operating a 2002 GMC van northbound on the by-pass. Apparently, Mr. Broadbent did not see Pace's vehicle approaching and pulled out. The two vehicles struck. Broadbent's vehicle exited off the roadway and came to rest. Pace's vehicle came to rest in the intersection. Mr. Broadbent was flown to St. Thomas by Air Evac. He was wearing a seatbelt. Mr. Pace was transported by ambulance to the Jennie Stuart Medical Center. He was not wearing a seatbelt. Tpr. Mike Ray investigated the crash that occurred on June 23, 2006 at 3:55 p.m. The Christian County Sheriff's Department, Hopkinsville Fire Department, Christian County Rescue and Christian County EMS assisted at the scene.
