Three Vehicle Injury Crash in Hopkins County, KY

White Plains, KY (Hopkins County) - Wade J. Hamilton age 54 of White Plains, KY was operating a 1994 Mack truck. He was attempting to pull out from Russell Moore Road onto US 62. Crystal D. Carroll age 41 of White Plains, KY was operating a 1996 Pontiac Grand Prix westbound on US 62. Apparently, Mr. Hamilton did not see Carroll's vehicle approaching and pulled out. Crystal Carroll swerved to avoid the collision, but was unable to do so. The two vehicles struck. Carroll's vehicle exited the roadway and traveled into a ditch where it came to rest. Hamilton's vehicle came to rest on the road. Rengy R. Key age 47 of Nortonville, KY was operating a 2000 Chevrolet Express van eastbound on US 62. Key swerved off the roadway to avoid the collision. Key's vehicle exited off the right side of the roadway and traveled into a ditch where it came to rest. Key's vehicle did not strike either of the other two vehicles. Debra A. Key age 47 of Nortonville, KY was transported by ambulance to the Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. No other injuries were reported. All subjects involved were wearing seatbelts. Tpr. Derek Smith investigated the crash that occurred on June 12, 2006 at 10:32 a.m. The Nortonville Rescue Squad and the Medical Center Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.
