Drug Arrest in Clay, KY

Clay, KY (Webster County) - On Monday, June 5, 2006 at approximately 11:47 a.m., officers from the Kentucky State Police Post 2, the Webster County Sheriff's Department and the Clay Police Department executed a search warrant at a residence located on State Route 109 North in Clay. Through the course of an investigation, information was obtained that lead to the issuing of the search warrant. Upon execution of the search warrant, marijuana was located inside the residence along with scales, bags and cash. Arrested at the residence were Cedric R. Mitchell age 29 of Clay, KY and Cynthia M. Mooney age 24 of Clay, KY. Mitchell was charged with Trafficking Controlled Substance Within 1000 Yards of a School, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st Offense and Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree. Mooney was charged with Trafficking Controlled Substance Within 1000 Yards of a School and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Offense. They were lodged in the Webster County Detention Center.
