Three Arrested on Drug Charges in Hopkins County, KY

(Hopkins County) - On Saturday, April 29, 2006 Post 2 received information in reference to possible drug activity at the Best Western Motel in Mortons Gap KY.

Upon arrival Trooper Holliman & Trooper Threat made contact with Theodore Candler and Darren Shelton in the parking lot. Mr. Chandler had in his possession items known to be drug paraphernalia and a small amount of methamphetamine.

Mr. Candler and Mr. Shelton advised units that there was another subject in the room. Further investigation revealed that Sabra Hinds was in the room. More drug paraphernalia was found in the room. Ms. Hinds was also served a warrant that Detective Scott Smith had obtained earlier for wanton endangerment 1st.

All subjects were taken into custody and lodged in the Hopkins County Jail. Theodore Candler was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree 2nd Offense, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Offense. Darrin Shelton was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Offense. Sabra Hinds was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Warrant Served for Wanton Endangerment 1st.

This case is still under investigation by Trooper Darron Holliman.
