Drug Arrest in Madisonville, KY

Madisonville, KY (Hopkins County) - On Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at approximately 11:34 p.m., Tpr. Benjamin Sawyer and Tpr. Daniel Morck arrived at a residence on Crowley Lane to assist the Hopkins County Sheriff's Department on a complaint. While there, a neighbor advised the officers that the subjects that were possibly involved with that complaint went into another residence on Crowley Lane. Officers went to the residence and spoke with the homeowner. While speaking with the homeowner, officers detected the smell of marijuana. Officers requested consent to search the residence and were denied. Officers then obtained a search warrant for the residence. On Thursday, April 27, 2006 at approximately 1:29 a.m., officers executed the search warrant at the residence on Crowley Lane. Officers recovered methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and cash. Arrested were Johnny D. Orange age 35 of Madisonville, KY and Michelle A. Beard age 33 of Madisonville, KY. Both subjects were lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center and charged with Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st-Meth, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
