Non-Injury Crash with Road Closure in Belton, KY
Date of News Release: 04/18/2006
Belton, KY (Muhlenberg County) - Gary Uhl age 63 of Spring City, TN was operating a 1995 Freightliner tractor-trailer southbound on US 431 approximately 2 miles south of Belton. He was hauling 36,000 pounds of compressed cardboard. The vehicle ran off the right shoulder of the roadway and Mr. Uhl was unable to regain control of it. The cab and trailer overturned on its passenger side. Mr. Uhl was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured. The road remained closed until approximately 11:00 a.m. on April 18, 2006. Tpr. Jerrod Hearld investigated the crash that occurred on April 17, 2006 at 3:11 p.m. Tpr. Craig Engler, the Beechmont Volunteer Fire Department and the State Highway Department assisted at the scene.
