Armed Robbery Investigation in Providence, KY

(Providence, KY) - KSP Post 2 units responded to the scene of an armed robbery that occurred at the Save-A-Lot Grocery Store in the city limits of Providence, KY.

Suspects are two black males, wearing gray sweatshirts and pants. Both subjects were armed with handguns. One of the subjects assaulted a clerk by striking her in the head with his handgun, but no shots were fired. The clerk was treated at the scene by EMS.

The suspects entered into the store just prior to it closing. Subjects took the cash drawer from the register and fled in an unknown direction with an undetermined amount of cash.
