Non-Injury Crash on Pennyrile Parkway in Hopkins County, KY

Hopkins County - Michael W. Burleson age 49 of Odenville, AL was operating a 1999 Peterbilt car-hauler southbound on the Pennyrile Parkway. The car-hauler dropped off into the median and Mr. Burleson was unable to regain control of the vehicle. The vehicle traveled through the median and came to rest on its driver's side. Two of the vehicles that were being transported dislodged from the trailer and came to rest partially blocking the left-hand lane of the northbound side of the roadway. It took approximately 5 hours to clear the roadway. Mr. Burleson was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured. Tpr. Nick Rice investigated the crash that occurred on March 2, 2006 at 4:00 a.m. Nortonville Fire & Rescue, Mannington Fire & Rescue and the Hopkins County Sheriff's Department assisted at the scene.
