Injury Crash on KY 91 in Hopkinsville, KY

Hopkinsville, KY (Christian County) - David Cansler age 56 of Cerulean, KY was operating a 1978 International 1086 farm tractor northbound on KY 91. Bobby Patterson age 52 of Princeton, KY was operating a 1993 Chevrolet S10 Blazer northbound on KY 91 behind the tractor. Cansler was attempting to make a left turn into a driveway. As Cansler was completing his turn, Patterson's vehicle struck the front end of the tractor causing both vehicles to travel into a ditch. The tractor came to rest partially on top of the blazer. Patterson and his wife, Rita Patterson age 46, had to be extricated from their vehicle. Both were transported by ambulance to the Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment. Three other passengers in the Patterson's vehicle were not injured. No other injuries were reported. All subjects in the Patterson vehicle were wearing restraints. Tpr. Brian Gann investigated the crash that occurred on January 30, 2006 at 12:35 p.m. The Christian County Sheriff's Department, Christian County Rescue, Christian County EMS, Westside Volunteer Fire Department, Air Evac and the Christian County Coroner's Office assisted at the scene.
