Injury Crash on Highland School Drive in Hopkinsville, KY

Date of News Release: 01/25/2006

Hopkinsville, KY (Christian County) - Kimberly Williams age 31 of Hopkinsville, KY was operating a 1982 Dodge pickup truck westbound on Highland School Drive. Alisha Boyd age 40 of Hopkinsville, KY was operating a 1994 International school bus eastbound on Highland School Drive. The school bus had no passengers. As Williams was traveling around a curve in the roadway, her vehicle drifted into Boyd's lane. William's vehicle struck Boyd's vehicle in the front. Williams and her passengers, Jordan Moore age 11 and Chastity Williams age 9 both of Hopkinsville, KY, were transported by ambulance to the Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. Boyd was not injured. Kimberly Williams was not restrained. All other subjects were wearing restraints. Tpr. Mark Franklin investigated the crash that occurred on January 24, 2006. The Christian County Sheriff's Department, Highland Volunteer Fire Department and Christian County EMS assisted at the scene.
