Injury Crash on Cleaton Road Cleaton, KY

Cleaton, KY (Muhlenberg County) - Hazel R. Howard age 57 of Hopkinsville, KY was operating a 1995 Chevrolet Monte Carlo eastbound on Cleaton Road when her vehicle struck a patch of ice. She lost control of the vehicle and exited off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle traveled down an embankment and struck a few trees before coming to rest. Hazel Howard was transported to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment. Her passenger, Troy Howard age 36 of Hopkinsville, KY, was not injured. Both the driver and passenger were wearing seatbelts. Tpr. Derek Smith investigated the crash that occurred on January 18, 2006 at 11:20 a.m. Tpr. Jerrod Hearld, the Muhlenberg County Sheriff's Department, the Central City Volunteer Fire Department and Muhlenberg County EMS assisted at the scene.
