Inmate Escapes From Green River Correctional Complex

Central City, KY (Muhlenberg County) - On Monday, January 9, 2006 the Kentucky State Police Post 2 in Madisonville was notified by the Green River Correctional Complex of an escape from their facility. The inmate escaped from the facility between 9:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. on January 9.

The escapee is Jesse J. Pugh age 23. Pugh is a white male. He is approximately 6'0" and weighs 165 pounds. He has blonde hair and blue eyes. Pugh has scars on his right ear and left hand. He also has tattoos on his upper right arm and chest.

Pugh is wanted for Escape 2nd Degree (Class D Felony). He was serving a 7 year sentence for Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree (8 counts), Fleeing or Evading Police 1st (2 counts) and Receiving Stolen Property Over $300 (2 counts).

The Kentucky State Police request that if anyone has information on Pugh's whereabouts, contact the Kentucky State Police toll-free at 1-800-222-5555 (in the state of Kentucky only, does not work out of state). If you come into contact with Pugh, do not try to apprehend him. Contact the Kentucky State Police or your local police department.
