Two Indicted in Robert Doris Investigation

Princeton, KY (Caldwell County) - On Monday, January 09, 2006 a Caldwell County Grand Jury indicted two men in connection with the murder of Robert Lee Doris. Indictments were handed down on Joseph E. Caraway age 23 of Princeton, KY and his cousin, Dean A. Caraway age 39 of Princeton, KY. Both men were indicted on murder and robbery 1st degree. Joseph Caraway was also indicted on possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
On Thursday, December 15, 2005 the Caldwell County Sheriff's Department contacted the Kentucky State Police Madisonville Post in reference to a death investigation. The victim, 73 year-old Robert Lee Doris, was found deceased inside his residence located off KY Highway 70 West in the Fryer Community. An autopsy performed on the victim concluded that he died as a result of blunt force trauma to the head.
Both subjects are currently lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
