Fatal Trailer Fire in Providence, KY

Providence, KY (Webster County) - On Monday, January 09, 2006 at approximately 7:56 a.m., the Kentucky State Police responded to a complaint of a residential fire located at Westside Trailer Court on Tower Drive in Providence. There was one victim inside the trailer at the time of the fire. The victim was not able to escape. The victim has been identified as Helen M. Hillsbery age 71 of Providence, KY.

An autopsy is scheduled to be performed next date at the State Medical Examiner's Office in Madisonville, KY. Currently, investigators are still on the scene attempting to determine the cause of the fire. The investigation is continuing by the Kentucky State Police and the State Fire Marshal's Office.

Also assisting at the scene was the Providence Fire Department.
