Update to Murder Investigation in Caldwell County, KY

Joseph E. Caraway age 23 of Princeton KY was arrested and charge today in regards to the press release listed below. Mr. Caraway was lodged on Robbery 1st Degree and Murder Charges.

Mr. Caraway has been lodged in the Caldwell County Jail and no bond has been set at this time.

Princeton, KY (Caldwell County) - An autopsy was performed today on the victim, Robert Lee Doris age 73, at the State Medical Examiner's Office in Madisonville. Mr. Doris died as a result of blunt force trauma to the head.

On Thursday, December 15, 2005 the Caldwell County Sheriff's Department contacted the Kentucky State Police Madisonville Post in reference to a death investigation. The victim, Robert Lee Doris, was found deceased inside his residence located off KY Highway 70 West in the Fryer Community.

Callers may remain anonymous. The investigation is continuing by Kentucky State Police Detective Ben Wolcott.
