A Juvenile Extradited Back To Kentucky to Several Charges

PADUCAH, KY - The Kentucky State Police and the McCracken County Sheriff's Department have arrested a sixteen (16) year old juvenile in connection with an arson fire on November 17, 2006. The fire severely damaged a residence owned and occupied by Albert and Hilda Davis of 810 Lovelaceville-Florence Station Road in McCracken County. The fire also sent Albert and Hilda Davis to Lourdes hospital for smoke inhalation and burns they received while trying to escape the burning home.
At the time of the fire, the Davis' 2004 Lincoln passenger car was stolen from the residence. On November 18th, 2006 the stolen vehicle was recovered by the Kansas Highway Patrol, and the only occupant in the vehicle was the juvenile, who was subsequently detained.
On December 2nd, 2006 McCracken County Deputy Sheriff J.T. Coleman and KSP Detective Frank Gresham extradited the juvenile from Junction City, Kansas back to Kentucky where he is being held at the McCracken Regional Juvenile Detention Center. The Kentucky State Police have charged the juvenile with Arson-1st Degree, two counts of Criminal Attempt to Commit Murder, and Wanton Endangerment-1st Degree. In addition, the McCracken County Sheriff's Department has charged the juvenile with Theft-Auto (over $300) related to the Davis' vehicle.
