Shooting Investigation and Arrest in LaCenter, KY

(LaCenter, KY) - The Kentucky State Police received a call from McCracken County dispatch advising they had received a 911 call that a person had been shot in LaCenter, KY. The victim was being transported by private vehicle to Western Baptist Hospital. Trooper Thomas Clifton U/403 arrived at the hospital and spoke to the victim, Codey Ballard of Kevil. Mr. Ballard advised he had been involved in an altercation and had been shot in the leg by Joshua Watson of LaCenter. Detectives George Bell U/344 and David Archer U/917 arrived at the hospital and questioned the victim and several witnesses. The detectives were able to obtain the possible whereabouts of Mr. Watson. The subject was located in LaCenter and was arrested and lodged in the Ballard County jail where he is charged with Assualt 2nd. The investigation is continuing by Detective George Bell.
