Fatal Crash on KY 1830 in Graves County

Date of News Release: 10/22/2006

(Mayfield, KY) - Gilbert L Harrison was westbound on KY 1830 when he lost control of the 1993 Corvette. The vehicle left the north side of the roadway striking a tree. Mr. Gilbert L Harrison was pronounced dead by the Graves County Coroners Office.

During the course of the wreck investigation it was discovered that the vehicle involved in the crash had been stolen from Parson's Motor Company in Mayfield, KY. During the burglary investigation it was determined that the only items taken from the business was the vehicle and some cash, which was found on the victim.

Mayfield-Graves County Ambulance Service, Graves County Sheriffs Department and Coroners Office assisted State Police at the scene. Investigation continues with Detective Jerry Jones and Tpr Brad Haley.
