Injury Crash on US 45 and KY 408 in Graves County

(Mayfield, KY) - On October 15, 2006 at approximately 5:50 PM, Kentucky State Police received calls of an injury accident at the intersection of US 45 and KY 408. According to the investigation, Martin L. Kesterson was traveling across US 45 from KY 408 East to KY 408 West. While traveling across the highway, Martin L. Kesterson drove into the path of Carolyn Brown, who was traveling Southbound on US 45. The two vehicles collided, causing Carolyn Brown to drive off the West side of the highway. The passenger of Martin L. Kesterson's vehicle (John Kesterson Jr.), who was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident, was ejected from the vehicle out of the passenger side window. All of the parties involved were removed from the scene and transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center by Mayfield/Graves County EMS. Carolyn Brown was later transferred to Vanderbilt in Nashville, TN. Tpr. Nall was assisted on scene by Tpr. Tim Sales, Graves County Sheriffs Office, Viola Volunteer Fire Department, and Mayfield/Graves County EMS. The investigation continues by Tpr. Nall and the Kentucky State Police.
