Fatal House Fire in Trigg County

Date of News Release: 10/14/2006

(Trigg County, KY.) - Kentucky State Police Post 1 received a call at 8:00 am from Trigg County Sheriffs Office advising of a fatal fire at 9456 Hwy 139 South in Trigg County. South Road Fire Department was on scene at 5:44 am and discovered the structure fully engulfed. The State Fire Marshall was notified at 6:30 am. When the fire was extinguished a thorough investigation of the scene was conducted and the remains of a 52-year-old male were found inside. No foul play is suspected at this time. Positive identification and autopsy is scheduled for October 15,2006 at 8:00 am in Louisville. The investigation is continuing by Detective Brian Duvall and Arson Investigator Frank Gresham. Kentucky State Police was assisted on scene by the following agencies: Trigg County Sheriffs Office, Cadiz Police Department, South Road Fire Department, State Fire Marshall's Office, and the Trigg County Coroner.
