Escapee was Apprehended in McCracken County

(Hopkinsville, KY)- Teron Mayes, who walked away from KCI in Paducah on August 20, was apprehended in Hopkinsville last night by the Kentucky State Police. KSP had received information that he could be in the Hopkinsville area. The Paducah Police Department and the Hopkinsville Police Department assisted the Kentucky State Police in making the arrest.

(McCracken County, KY) - On Sunday, August 20, 2006 the Kentucky State Police received a call from KCI Paducah, a half-way house located in McCracken County, that an individual housed there had walked away from the facility. According to staff at KCI, Teron R. Mayes walked away at 6:00 PM this date. Mayes is a black male, 5ft 11in and approximately 175 pounds. He was last seen wearing a light colored T-shirt, blue jean shorts and a hat. Mayes possible destination is unknown. The investigation is continuing by the Kentucky State Police. State Police were assisted on scene by the Paducah Police Department.
