Marijuana Eradication Report from Post 1

(HICKORY, KY.) From Monday, July 24, 2006 to Thursday, July 27, 2006 troopers from the Kentucky State Police Post One, Drug Enforcement/Special Investigations Section, and KSP Aircraft Section eradicated a total of 1,042 plants in the post one area. Trooper's cut 148 plants in Calloway County, 158 in Marshall, 598 in Livingston, 90 in Lyon and 48 in Trigg. There was one arrest made in Lyon, one in Marshall and one in Crittenden Counties. The estimated street value of these plants is $2,084,000. The investigation is continuing by Kentucky State Police.

Troopers will continue their marijuana eradication efforts throughout the summer.
