Injury Crash on KY 131 in Graves County

Date of News Release: 07/20/2006

(Graves County, KY.) Keisha Prince was traveling northbound on KY. 131. As she was traveling around a slight curve she ran off the right side of the road. In an attempt to steer back on the roadway, she overcorrected causing the vehicle to travel across the southbound lane. The vehicle ran off the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned. A passenger, Brooke Sullivan, was not wearing her seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. The vehicle came to rest on its top. Both occupants were transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center and treated for their injuries. The Mayfield Fire Department, Mayfield/Graves County EMS and Clear Springs Fire Department assisted state police at the scene. The investigation is continuing by Trooper Jerry Jones.
