Ballard County Man Charged with Sexual Assault

(PADUCAH, KY.) On January 5, 2006, investigators with the Kentucky State Police charged a Ballard County man with sexually assaulting a Carlisle County woman. Detective Michelle Kent served arrest warrants on Patrick G. Hopper, 28, of Kevil, KY charging him with two counts of Rape 1st Degree, Theft by Unlawful Taking over $300.00, one count of Sodomy 1st Degree, Terroristic Threatening 3rd Degree and Burglary 1st Degree. These charges stem from incidents that occurred at a Carlisle County residence on September 24, 2005 and November 4, 2005. Warrants were served on Hopper at the McCracken County Detention Center. Paducah Police arrested Hopper on December 30, 2005 after a standoff with police at the Paducah Federal Credit Union on Paducah's south side.
